Chardonnay Reserva 2021
A truly remarkable and complex expression of Chardonnay, this wine pushes the boundaries of white winemaking in the Danube region. Aged for 24 months in new Slavonian oak, offering nuance, texture, and extraordinary longevity.
The wine undergoes 10 days of skin maceration, resulting in a rich golden hue with an orange tint. This extended contact with the skins enhances its complexity, lending layers of texture and depth. The fermentation is followed by a racking into new 500L Slavonian oak barrels (medium toast), where spontaneous malolactic fermentation occurs. After two years of barrel aging, the wine is transferred to stainless steel for 90 days before bottling, allowing for perfect integration.
The nose is deep and layered, revealing aromas of baked apricot, dried citrus peel, white flowers, and honeyed spice, beautifully interwoven with notes of toasted almonds, vanilla, and delicate smokiness from the oak. The palate is rich, textured, and structured, with a velvety mouthfeel balanced by vibrant acidity and a mineral-driven backbone. The finish is long, revealing evolving tertiary notes that will continue to develop with age. Decant before serving.

The Reserva Line is our most premium collection yet. The word “Reserva” originates from the Latin verb reservare, meaning “to keep, preserve, or set aside.” True to its name, this line is made from a selection of berries, with each wine undergoing at least 12 months in new Slavonian oak, followed by a period of lees aging, enhancing structure and complexity. By the time of release, these wines already display early tertiary aromas, seamlessly blending with their vibrant primary fruit and layered secondary notes. However, their journey is far from over - with proper cellaring, they will continue to evolve, gaining even more nuance and depth over time. “Reserve it for the moments that matter.”
